my approach to astrology

My astrological practice is rooted in traditional Hellenistic astrology.

I use the tropical zodiac, whole sign houses, and the traditional domicile scheme.

This means I don't use the modern planets Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in the same way as the traditional visible planets. I will sometimes incorporate the outer planets in natal astrology if they feature very prominently in the chart, almost like Fixed Stars.

I have nothing against other forms and traditions of astrology, but if you're looking to use a different house system than what I use, I would gladly refer you to other astrologers that use your preferred system. I practice with the tools that I have spent time with and feel confident with.

Some astrologers that I’ve studied with and learned from are Chris Brennan, Demetra George, Austin Coppock, Kelly Surtees, and many others.

I strive to take a trauma-sensitive and mindful approach in holding a safe space for clients.

Because our birth charts can reflect our whole lives, the pleasant and the unpleasant, anything can come up in an astrology consultation. I strive to hold a safe space where the client’s lived experience is highlighted and valued. People know themselves better than I can know their charts…in a birth chart consultation, my job is often to point people toward recognizing themselves in their charts. Consultations are entirely confidential.
